Design and creativity has always been the forefront of any marketing or advertising company. In order to maintain a successful marketing campaign, it is essential to have an appealing design, whether that may be a strong logo, website design, striking headline, or any other promotional material. So as a result, there is a much greater competition in today's marketing and advertising industry.
As visuals are becoming more and more important within marketing, creative agencies are often overlooked by their popular counterparts i.e. digital agencies. The rapid growth of online advertising has enabled digital agencies to be one of the most sought after services by both marketers and advertisers.
But, due to the fact that digital marketing and creativity often go hand in hand, it creates a lot of confusion between advertisers on whether they should actually be using a digital marketing agency or a creative agency.

Creative agencies tend to focus on the design aspect, i.e. creating logos, letterheads, business cards, and creating an overall brand theme. Digital Agency
A digital agency however, focuses more on a company's marketing strategy, whilst as mentioned before, a creative agency focuses more on the brand design.

A full digital agency can offer clients search engine marketing, online advertising, web design and development, and e-commerce consulting."
Conclusion
Both creative and digital agencies have their strengths and weaknesses, but a digital agency can be much more cost effective. However with that being said, a company's design and brand is still very important for any marketing or advertising campaign. But, more often than not, both agencies end up working together as a team. In terms of knowing what agency is better to use, it depends on the current needs of your business, whether that may be just marketing or working on a full brand identity. All in all, it is effective to use both a creative agency and digital agency as an appealing design and brand identity paired with a profitable marketing strategy, will be the combination for your company to thrive.
